An Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) is a security that includes a whole range of other securities – like individual stocks or bonds – to replicate an underlying index (e.g., DAX, MSCI World). ETFs are similar to traditional investment funds in many ways, but they're listed on stock exchanges, can be traded at any time, and are much cheaper than the classic alternative, which makes them very attractive for long-term investors.
